The bible is a combination of 66 books known and cannon. Each book has an author and publisher. The author is God while the person who published (or spread the word) the books would be the ones who put it in ink. While the bible has been translated over time it still has the same message. The current translations in fact match the oldest known copies of scripture. Bible history is full of translations but the writen word is easy to keep true to the original.
Who Published The Bible
Many books in the bible have different writers. The most well known in bible history would be Moses who is believed to be the editor of many of the first books in the bible. Later the apostles wrote the new testament. The reason the bible has 66 books and not more (as some claim it should) is because of validity of the writer.
When compiling the list of books care was taken to verify who each writer was. If the writer could not be verified the book was not considered cannon. This was because motives could not be proven for it's writing, the time of writing could not be discovered, and most importantly on very careful observation these other books were found to have errors leading us to believe they were not inspired by an infallible God.
The books we have verified in the bible compile a long list of people who wrote and a long period of time between each one. No writer contradicts the other and each one points to God. While the different writers of the bible through history have different styles they are all still the same in thought. Leading us to believe that it is God who authored the bible through history.
Only God could be the same through time and never change His motives. The entire theme of the bible is to bring man to God. People have died who refused to deny the truths in the book. The writers have also been victim to death because they believed the scriptures at the cost of their lives.
God is the one who began the history of the bible. Many more reasons to believe this are found all over the world. Please feel free to look into this deeper if you need more.
